Ultrasound images confirm that I began (finger) painting while still in my mother's womb.
No?
Well, OK, but I have always enjoyed painting throughout my life. However I had little time for it while I was pursuing a career in the corporate world. Now that I have retired from that, I have turned my attention to art in a significant way. In fact, I would say that art consumes me now with the same intensity as my earlier career pursuits.
I am currently the President of the Markham Group of Artists.
I have studied at the Varley Art Gallery, Haliburton School of the Arts, and with the Markham Group of Artists. My art has been influenced by the teachings of artists like Andrew Hamilton, Brian Smith, Neville Clarke, Jay Dampf, and D.D. Gadjanski.
In my first juried show my work, "Highland Coca" was one of three selected for Honourable Mention among over 100 entries. I subsequently had a solo show in the office of the Mayor of Markham.
